Based on high-end modular GP(Concept) glove boxes, customers benefit from the flexibility that Jacomex can offer in terms of technical solutions when any issues arise.
The glove boxes are equipped with two vacuum transfer locks enabling a continuous flow of the parts to be welded. The two airlocks have been oversized compared to the current vacuum airlocks in order to allow the transfer of large parts: a technical achievement because they work on the same principle as the smaller cylindrical airlocks, namely by creating a vacuum then filling with pure argon. Powerful pumping groups minimize the transfer time, which is essential in production, while preserving the purity of the welding enclosure. A large capacity argon purification unit maintains stable oxygen and moisture purity at very low ppm levels.
In addition to the traditional oxygen and humidity sensors, the installation is equipped with a nitrogen analyzer (to avoid the risks of nitriding) and also a hydrogen analyzer. In this way, the glove box allows you to securely make titanium parts that meet the constraints of the aeronautical industry.
Finally, general ergonomics were optimized to facilitate the movement and handling of heavy parts. Traditionally, acceptance tests are offered in real conditions with coloring tests on samples.
